Most budget in Chiang Khong is Susies home. It costs 50 Baht per night. Toilet and bathroom are outside the room. It's very Thai style, because it's a room in a more traditional wooden Thai house, one couldn't call it a guesthouse. Nevertheless Susie speaks English what makes communication easy.
Susie is an elder Lady living in a wooden house not far from the bus station. She has one single room for rent. It's possible to stay there for a night only or for long-term as well. The room is simple, a matress on the floor, blankets and, if you want, a mosquito net. A chair is in the room. Despite the simplicity the room is not small and has a window. It's clean and tidy. All the facilities of Chiang Khong are within walking distance. It's a step aside the touristic mainstream.
Susie's Homestay, a typical Thai house in Chiang Khong. There is a small sign with a 207 and some Thai writing on it to recognize the place.
